Please be advised that revised policies for the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) will go into effect at 00:01 (Eastern) September 1st, 2019. The revised NCA Policy Manual reflecting these new policies is posted on our website here. Significant amendments have been made to the policies for Canadian Civil Law Graduates and for Applicants from Non-Common Law Jurisdictions. The amendments address issues that have been identified since the implementation of the policies in 2015. The amendments also aim to improve readability and accessibility through the use of plain language. Files ready to be assessed by August 31st, 2019 will be processed under the current NCA policies. Files ready to be assessed after that date will be processed under the new policies. Applicants are responsible for awareness of, and compliance with, all aspects of the NCA Policy Manual.
Please be advised that with the opening of registration for the August 2019 exams on Monday, May 27, 2019, the fee charged for registration for an NCA exam will be reduced by $35.00 CDN, to $300.00 per exam. Applicable taxes will be applied to the reduced amount.
Please be advised that effective 4:00 P.M. (Eastern time) May 17, 2019, the fee charged for an NCA application will be reduced by $100.00 CAD, to $350.00 CAD. Applicable taxes will be applied to the reduced amount.
Please be advised that effective 4:00 P.M. (Eastern time) March 12, 2019 the fee charged for registration for an NCA exam will be reduced by CD $25.00, to CD $335.00 per exam. Applicable taxes will be applied to the reduced amount. For those who registered for an NCA exam or exams prior to March 13 and who paid CD $360.00, a refund of $25.00 per exam plus applicable taxes will be issued. IMPORTANT: Refunds will ONLY be issued to those who write an NCA exam in May and registered prior to March 13. Refunds will be issued at the end of the May exam session, beginning Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Also effective 4:00 P.M. March 12, 2019, the fee for cancellation of an NCA exam will be reduced by CD $5.00, to CD $50 plus applicable taxes.
