An updated version of NCA's Torts syllabus is now available on the NCA's Syllabi page. This syllabus was revised in an effort to simplify the readings and to provide additional guidance to NCA applicants required to write the torts exam.
Please note that an updated 2016 version of the NCA Business Organizations Syllabus has now been posted to the Syllabi page of the NCA website. Applicants may use this 2016 version or the previous version dated December 2011, for the upcoming January 2017 Exams. For any exams after that date, applicants must use the 2016 version.
Please note that an updated version of the NCA Property Syllabus has now been posted to the Syllabi page of the NCA website. The updated syllabus allows applicants to use either 3rd or 4th edition of the “Property Reader” Casebook for upcoming exams.
The NCA and the Law Society of British Columbia welcome NCA students and prospective NCA candidates to attend an Information Session for NCA Students in British Columbia from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Law Society of British Columbia, 845 Cambie St., Vancouver, BC.
Please note that an updated version of the NCA Evidence Syllabus has now been posted to the Syllabi page of the NCA website. A new edition of the Hamish Casebook is currently available for purchase. Applicants studying for October who do not have the older version (3rd ed., 2012) may have trouble getting a copy, therefore they will need to purchase the new version (4th ed., 2016). You may use either of these editions for the October exam, however, for subsequent exam sessions, the newer version will be required.
